LES Artists to apply for positions on the Design Team and the Art Smart Team WHO ? Any student in Grades 4, 5, and 6 can apply for the Art Smart Team. Any student in Grades 4, 5, and 6 can apply for the Design Team that is not a Chorus member because we are meeting at the same time period. If you are interested in applying for either of these teams- you should see Mrs. Blodgett for applications. WHAT is the DESIGN TEAM ? The design team will be made up of 10 students who are selected to be on this Team. They will use their artistic skills and creativity to design and create artwork for our school. They may be asked to design a poster, scenery for plays, artwork for newsletters, or work on the Art website, take digital photos etc.. They must be willing to work hard and use their time wisely. WHAT is the ART SMART TEAM? The art smart team will be made up of 5 students. These students will be selected by a board of artists from the community’s newly formed Ludlow Art Guild. To be on this board you must submit at least two pieces of your best artwork (any medium) and be able to be an art critic. WHEN? These teams will meet on Thursday afternoons beginning in October . The Design Team will meet the same time period as Chorus , IN THE ART ROOM. The Art Smart Team will meet in the ART ROOM during lunch time and have a working lunch. WHY? Students from the Design Team will help Mrs.Blodgett and the LES Staff with a variety of jobs that involve artistic skill and creativity. These artists will create and design artwork that is needed for our school over the course of the school year. Students from the Art Smart Team will choose the Artist of the Month using their knowledge as an art critic. They will also help with making sure all work submitted to the Magical Mailbox is published is some way. |
