I decided to choose Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night because that was the one I was most interested in. I liked the cypress tree and the dark colors. Van Gogh painted this in 1889 during his Saint Remy period.

 I used a lot of swirls because Van Gogh used a lot of swirls too. I used my swirls in the sky. I also used a lot of  cool colors like blue, purple and violet. I used those colors because I wanted people to feel relaxed. I tried to not change my version from the original. I liked it just the way it was.  I think the swirls work well in my painting because it looks like the wind is moving across the paper. I think Van Gogh tried to make it look like that too. I am really  pleased with my cypress tree. I think it looks like Van Gogh's. I put some green in my cypress tree because Van Gogh did that too.

I would like to work on the town more because I would like to put more detail into it. Van Gogh put more houses in his Starry Night than I did.

I liked the Van Gogh project a lot. It was a fun project to work on. I enjoyed painting my Van Gogh version of Starry Night. It was very interesting because we looked up Van Gogh's paintings on the Internet

I learned that Van Gogh shot  himself because he was depressed. I think it was sad that he did that. I think his paintings stand out and I like them a lot. Van Gogh was a fabulous painter.
