Dear Vincent Van Gogh,

   I am 9 years old and in the third grade. I am writing to you because we are studying you. My favorite sport is soccer. I like swimming the best, snowmobiling and dirt biking too. They are fun. 

   I painted my self-portrait wearing a special shirt that my friend Chad gave me. It is a snowmobiling racing shirt. I painted my self-portrait using the Rule of Halves. Did you? We used a digital portrait to copy off of. You would have liked that a lot.  I hope the people who look at my self portrait will think I'm happy in it because that's how I felt when I was painting it

    I wish you were still alive, Vincent. You are very famous now.  You are awesome.  I wish you didn't die before people liked your paintings.
