Dear Vincent,

My name  is Jacob. I'm nine years old. I am in third grade . I have three other people in my family, my mom dad and my brother. I like basketball and baseball. I like to draw. My dad's cousin is a great drawer.

I painted a self-portrait like you did. Everybody in my class did. I think you did a great job at self-portraits. We learned the Rule of Halves. I painted small Van Goghs in the background because I thought you should be in my portrait. I was wearing a good sweater in my portrait. I wanted to look extra nice.

In my portrait I am happy because I love to laugh, smile and tell jokes. I learned a lot  about you. I feel you should have been treated better. You are an important person Van Gogh. I think your art work is fantastic. You should be proud of all you have done. Your paintings have been sold for millions of  dollars each. They are worth it!

                      Your Fan,

                       Jacob
